On January 9, 2017 CMS finalized the Home Health Conditions of Participation (CoPs). The new CoPs are the minimum health and safety standards a home health agency must meet to participate in the Medicare and Medicaid Programs. The new CoPs will be effective on January 13, 2017. These changes will have a significant impact on agency operations, clinical practice and survey readiness. Providers will be surveyed on these standards as of the effective date so the time is NOW for preparation for implementation to ensure the provision of quality care, and compliance with these new regulations in a streamlined and cost effective manner.

This comprehensive and interactive 1 ½ day workshop will provide your agency with the information, guidance and tools you can use to ensure compliance with these standards. Simione Healthcare Consultants home health experts will guide you through the new CoPs and provide insight, hands on guidance and tools you can use to assess YOUR agency’s readiness for the CoPs and strategies to ensure ongoing compliance with these regulations.

Boot Camp Objectives:

1)      Provide a comprehensive overview of the Medicare Conditions of Participation for Home Health and planned updates to the State Operations Manual.

2)      State important steps for compliance in the following areas:

  • Comprehensive Assessment, Care Planning and Care Coordination
  • Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) Program and Infection Prevention and Control Program.
  • Emergency Preparedness

  • Organizational and Administration of services and Clinical Records
