FREE EMERGENCY & DISASTER PREPAREDNESS EDUCATION
Home care providers have an awesome responsibility in taking care of frail, sick and disabled people at home. Part of a home care provider’s case management and safety assessment should include emergency preparedness planning, education and coordination of services for every patient. This program will provide attendees with an overview of the components of an emergency preparedness plan for home care agencies. It will also include valuable emergency management resources, components of an emergency preparedness training program and lessons learned from recovery efforts after public emergencies impacted communities, agencies and residents in the entire state over the last several years.
PLEASE NOTE: This program is provided by the 2016-2017 NJ Department of Health, Division of Public Health Infrastructure, Laboratories and Emergency Preparedness grant awarded to the Home Care Foundation of NJ.
